I am ready to use Breeze 5.1 How do I use my migrated Breeze 4.1 content in Breeze 5.1?
On February 6, 2006 at 5 PM, all Breeze 4.1 content (presentations, meetings, and recorded meetings) was migrated to Breeze 5.1. Please see the information below on how to use your migrated content in Breeze 5.1.
Migrated Breeze 4.1 Presentations
How do I use my migrated Breeze 4.1 presentations?
During the migration from Breeze 4.1 to Breeze 5.1, a copy of the presentations you created and published using the Breeze 4.1 plug-in for PowerPoint was migrated to the Breeze 5.1 server. You can view and use these presentations in Breeze 5.1. If you want to take advantage of the new features in Breeze Presenter 5, you must install Breeze Presenter 5 and republish your presentations to the Breeze 5.1 server.
Additional information:
I have Flash files embedded into the Breeze Presentation I created and published with the Breeze 4.1 Plug-in for PowerPoint. Will they still work after the presentation is migrated to Breeze 5.1?
Breeze Presenter 5 features the ability to synchronize inserted Flash (SWF) files with the main player controls. However, if you inserted any Flash content using the Breeze 4.1 Plug-in for PowerPoint, these files are not synchronized and will not appear in the Flash Files tab in the Presentation Settings dialog box. To synchronize these files, you must reinsert them using Breeze Presenter 5.
Additional information:
I have quizzes in my presentation that was migrated from Breeze 4.1 to Breeze 5.1. They don’t work in Breeze 5.1. How can I fix this?
Breeze Presenter 5 can convert your Breeze 4.1 quizzes into Breeze 5.1. After you download and install Breeze Presenter 5, you will be prompted to allow the conversion when you open the presentation in PowerPoint. If you accept the conversion, images and fonts in the quiz are displayed using standard formatting. You must reapply, in Breeze Presenter 5, any custom formatting you applied to the quiz in Breeze Presentation 4.1.
If you created custom audio feedback for a quiz using the Breeze 4.1 Plug-in for PowerPoint, you need to rerecord the audio in Breeze Presenter 5.
You can now use Breeze Presenter 5 customization options to perform any customizations that were performed in Breeze Presentation 4.1 to support LMS requirements.

Migrated Breeze Live 4.1 Meetings and Meeting Recordings
My Breeze Live 4.1 meetings are now available in Breeze 5.1. Can I use them?
You can still view meeting room content in your migrated Breeze Live 4.1 meetings and use the migrated Breeze Live 4.1 meeting. However, we recommend that you either adjust the date and time of the meeting in Breeze 5.1 or create new meetings in Breeze 5.1 instead of using the migrated Breeze Live 4.1 meeting as is. If you chose to re-use your migrated Breeze 4.1 meetings, please note the following:
- Meetings that do not display the actual meeting date and time for the meeting will not appear in a list of upcoming meetings. The list of upcoming meetings is an important tool for the Breeze 5.1 Server administrators and support team. The list is used to track server use, schedule server maintenance, and for emergency contacts in case of an unexpected server outage.
- The Presenter role in Breeze 4.1 has been redefined as two roles in Breeze 5: Host and Presenter. In migrated Breeze Live 4.1 meetings, Presenters will be made Hosts in the Breeze 5.1 Meeting. The Host role in Breeze 5 has all the permissions that the Presenter had in Breeze 4.1, including control over the meeting room layout. The Presenter role in Breeze 5 cannot control room layout.
- For some tasks involved in participating in meetings, users need to install the new Breeze Meeting Add-in. You will be prompted to install Breeze Meeting Add-in while starting a meeting, if the Breeze application determines that you need it. The Install wizard guides you through installation.
- Pod configuration has changed. The Content and Screen Sharing pods from Breeze 4.1 are now the Share pod in Breeze 5. Any content that was included in the Breeze Live 4.1 meeting will appear in the Share pod in the Breeze 5.1 meeting.
- The procedure for setting up audio conferencing has changed. You now add audio conferencing information when you create a meeting, using the Meeting wizard.
- If you created custom pods in Breeze 4.1, those pods will not be displayed in Breeze 5. A red X will appear in place of each custom pod.
- Custom layouts created in Breeze Live 4.1 will appear in the Breeze 5.1 meeting.
Additional Information:
My Breeze Live 4.1 meeting recordings were migrated to Breeze 5.1. How can I find a list of my migrated recordings? How do meeting participants access a migrated recording?
